Mesopotamian Academic Press ("MAP", "we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Mesopotamian Press iOS application ("the app") collects, what it does with it, and what your rights are.
The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. No login is required to use it. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information.
To provide its features, the app stores the following data only on your device, never on our servers:
All of this data is removed when you delete the app.
The app fetches article metadata and PDFs from the public Mesopotamian Academic Press website (mesopotamian.press) using the standard OAI-PMH protocol. These requests carry only standard HTTP metadata (such as your user agent and IP address), which are used solely for rate limiting and server-operation purposes by our hosting provider. We do not log, profile, or associate this traffic with any individual user.
The app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with Google, Facebook, or any advertising network.
The app is intended as a scholarly reference tool and contains no content directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
All articles displayed in the app are published by Mesopotamian Academic Press under Creative Commons licensing and are freely available on our website. The app is a reader, not a republisher — copyright remains with the original authors and the journals in which they appear.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app. When we do, we will post the updated version at the same URL and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app's release notes.
