Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
Overview
All submissions to the Mesopotamian Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare (MJAIH) undergo a single-blind peer review process, where the reviewers' identities are concealed from the authors. The journal employs the ScholarOne Manuscripts platform by Clarivate to manage the peer review process efficiently.
Initial Screening
The editorial board conducts an initial screening to evaluate if the submitted paper aligns with the journal's mission and scope. Only manuscripts that pass this stage proceed to the peer review phase.
Reviewer Assignment
Using the Reviewer Locator feature in ScholarOne, suitable reviewers are automatically identified and assigned to each manuscript. A minimum of two independent reviewers are invited to provide detailed evaluations.
Decision Making
If one reviewer rejects the manuscript, it will be sent to an additional reviewer for further evaluation. If the additional reviewer also recommends rejection, the manuscript will not be accepted for publication. Authors are encouraged to revise and resubmit based on reviewer feedback when necessary.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer comments within the designated timeframe. Requests to withdraw submissions must be formally submitted to the editorial board. Adherence to MJAIH's writing and style guidelines is mandatory.
Copyright Policy
MJAIH does not pay any copyright fees to authors for published papers. Authors are responsible for securing permissions for any copyrighted material used in their manuscripts.
