Plagiarism Policy

The Mesopotamian Journal of Civil Engineering (MJCE) is dedicated to upholding the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing. The journal strongly condemns any unethical behavior, including plagiarism, data falsification, result fabrication, or submission of previously published material without appropriate disclosure.

To verify the originality of all submissions, MJCE utilizes advanced plagiarism detection technologies, including AI-driven tools such as Turnitin. Starting from May 1, 2023, every manuscript undergoes a detailed similarity check before it proceeds to editorial evaluation.

If significant similarity or overlapping content is identified, an official investigation will be conducted. Any manuscript determined to contain extensive plagiarism or improperly attributed AI-generated material will be immediately rejected.

Through these measures, MJCE aims to cultivate a culture of academic integrity and ethical research. Authors are strongly encouraged to adhere to ethical standards and contribute original research that advances the field of civil engineering with integrity and trustworthiness.
